Welcome Storyseeker :-)

This is a place for storylovers, storytellers, storywriters, storyreaders and storylisteners. It is for storycollectors and storydistributors, storyfinders and storyscientists and for you.

The purpose of this site is to collect stories from all over the world. If you are looking for stories from Africa or the Americas, Asia, Australia or Europe – we hope that soon the Storyteller’s Wiki is your place to find them. We are looking for old stories and new stories, stories from animals and human beings, tricksters, magicians, fairies, jinns or a woman or man like you and me. These shall be stories for adults as well as children and you are welcome to contribute.

Also we would like to read, watch and listen from and to you. We would like to know about reasons to listen to stories and about reasons to tell them. If you are knowing of a story to make someone happy or of a story to remember yourself that there are dark sides in life too, please contribute. Encouraging stories, funny stories, teaching stories here is a place for sharing your projects and experiences.

Last not least, we are trying to set up a Calendar for storytelling events. If you are a storyteller, you are welcome to publish your event (date, time, location) on our site too, to make it easy for your friends to find you. We hope also, that you will be successfully finding the next event if you are a story admirer and looking for an entertaining evening out. Maybe you can also find information on storytelling-workshops to which you might like to go (this is depending on the publication of workshops).

A remark on language: This is a multilanguage project. You are welcome to contribute in one of the following languages: English, French, German, Portuguese, Spanish. We are trying to work on translations but cannot promise much. However, if you like help out on that, feel free to contact us.
